The Western Bison Association (WBA) was founded in 1999 for the primary purpose of sponsoring a bison competition and subsequent
sale for producers of bison in the vast area of the western
United States. For three years the Wild West Buffalo Stampede Show and Sale was held in Reno, Nevada.
In 2002 the WBA relocated the show and sale to Ogden, Utah which is more centrally located for producers.
The Golden Spike Event Center is the location for this event where the WBA uses the Auction Arena Building for it’s sale.
